Barely four days after Dong village in Jos North LGA of Plateau State came under attacks from suspected herdsmen, three people have been reported killed in a fresh attack in the area Thursday night.

Though both the police and the  Security task force, Operation Safe Haven, OPSH, are yet to confirm the fresh development, residents said sound of deafening gunshots rented the atmosphere during the night with fears enveloping the area and surrounding settlement.

There was movements of relocation to safer locations in the night from the Federal Lowcost Housing Estate to the State low cost houses as well as the adjoining Wildlife Park zoo, which is a junction leading into Dong, a resident said .

As at press time nobody has claimed responsibility for the gun shots. Residents,  because of the OPSH personnel that were stationed in the area concluded when the sound of gunshots were becoming unbearable, that it was the marauding herdsmen that are responsible.

Theledgerng.com reports that there will be "burial for victims of last night's attack on Dong", a source hinted.
