* Ojigwe, wife, Ugochi cutting their wedding cake, Saturday 
Former Super Eagles defensive midfielder and international football star, Karibe Pascal Ojigwe, and  his longtime sweetheart, Ugochi Saturday drew top politicians and the crème de la crème of Nigeria's  football industry as guests at their white wedding at the Christ Embassy, Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria

 Officiating Minister, Pastor Mkpa Ugoagha pronounced the couple mann and wife at exactly 12 noon in the spacious church auditorium light up by gaily dressed personalities all of whom were dressed in alluring, beautiful  peach colour adopted by the couple for the day.

 Exhorting the couple and their guests,  the Resident Pastor  of the church, Chika Alex quoting from various scriptures maintained that  Christianity is
not religion, but the Christlike life, a practical life fashioned after that of Jesus Christ who was triumphant over every issue of life. He urged them to hold steadfast to Christ as His second coming is at hand.

 The reception for the marriage thereafter moved to Wonderland Events Centre, Isi-Court, Umuobia Olokoro, Umuahia

The colourful traditional marriage ceremony between  Karibe  and Ugochi held last week in  Okoko Item, Bende Local Government Area  The event  began around 12 noon took place at the bride’s father’s compound in Amoji Ameabo even as guests were treated to delicious food and exotic wines.

 The bride who runs a traveling agency in Umuahia graduated from Abia State University with a B.Sc,Finance and Banking  degree.

 Ojigwe came to attention of International football pundits as a member of the triumphant Nigeria's Golden Eaglet which won the 1993 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

 He thereafter turned international professsional, exhibiting his skills at  elite German Bundesliga clubs  including  FC Kaiserslautern, FC Koln, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Monchenglabach, TSV 1860 Munchen.

 Ojigwe who briefly stayed in Germany has since returned to his motherland and  is now one of Abia's frontline politicians. His recent political outing was his aspiration to represent Bende North State constituency  at the House of Assembly, but  was denied ticket by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at the last minute.  Till date, Ojigwe’s supporters are convinced the ex-Enyimba defensive midfielder won the election  but was denied victory by INEC.
