Abia State Governor Alex Otti will on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 officially flag-off the construction of the 11.1km Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza Road in Ukwa West Local Government Area of the State in continuation of his commitment to infrastructural transformation across the State.


Announcing the development in a press statement, the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu states that the  landmark project reaffirms Gov Otti’s dedication to equitable development across Abia's three senatorial districts to  ensure improved connectivity and economic growth for the  people.


"The 11.1km Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza Road when completed, will  boost the operations of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park at Owaza", Prince Kanu states


He urged  stakeholders, political appointees from the area, community leaders, Party faithfuls, and residents of Ukwa West LGA to converge at St Ann Secondary School, Obehie Asa, venue for the  historic event.
