HRH Eze Chukwuemeka Elefuanya Ezeoma

 

The Oruigwe Community Development Union, OCDU are leaving no stone unturned towards an elaborate ceremony for the coronation of their traditional ruler, HRH Eze Chukwuemeka Elefuanya Ezeoma, Igwebuike II of Oruigwe Autonomous Community, Nnono Oboro, Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.


The event scheduled for Saturday March 30, 2024 under the chairmanship of Rt  Hon Emeka Atuma at Nnonno Central School would feature Abia State Governor, His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti as the Special Guest of Honour as well as the Deputy Governor, HE Engr Ikechukwu Emetu as the Guest of Honour.



In his remarks on the upcoming event, the President-General of OCDU, Chief Chukwuma Amaonwu, Ochendo Oru Oboro, said the full entourage of Ikwuano Council of Traditional Rulers, led by its Chairman, HRH Eze M. U. Okoro would be on hand to add pomp and colour to the event. Also expected include the Chairman, Oboro Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze C. E. Ironsi and former chairman of Ikwuano Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze C. U Ejirika, Ugwuocha I of Awom n Ebo.


Also expected as Guests of Honour include the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Austin Akobundu; member representing Ikwuano State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly Hon Boniface Isienyi; the  Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy, Hon Uzo Nwachukwu.


The Ikwuano LG Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Osinachi Nwaka would be the Chief Host for the day


In a statement, the Vice-chairman, Coronation Planning Committee/Public Relations Director, Mr Onyekachi  Umekwe said nothing would be spared to make the day a memorable and fascinating occasion as the people of Oruigwe Autonomous Community has longed for it for over a decade.
