The Ikwuano LGA Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Osinachi Nwaka on Tuesday  February 27, held a productive interactive session with Ikwuano Community Youths Presidents, to explore avenues for sustainable engagement and collaboration.


The Ikwuano Mayor during the session held at the Council headquarters, stressed the significance of youths active participation in governance at all levels, adding that  the interaction was aimed  at  strengthening bonds between his administration and the youths with a view of addressing  pertinent issues affecting them.


During the meeting, the LG boss  reaffirmed his dedication to empowering and advancing the youths in the LG. He canvassed for their  active involvement in communal  affairs and pledged support for programs designed to improve their well-being and future prospects.


Discussions between Mayor Nwaka and the youths revolved around diverse subjects, including education, skills acquisition, employment opportunities, and  entrepreneurship.   Concerns raised by the youth leaders were noted with assurances of the LG administration responding proactively  in addressing matters raised


Earlier, in his address, the LG chief executive emphasized the pivotal role played by the youths in the advancement and prosperity of the local community. He stressed the importance of sustained engagement and collaboration between the government and youth representatives to drive positive change and progress.


The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with Mayor Nwaka expressing gratitude for the active participation and constructive input of the youth leaders. He encouraged them to continue their collaborative efforts in building a dynamic and inclusive community that caters to the aspirations of all its inhabitants.
