The Abia State Independent Electoral Commission, ABSIEC has issued a notice for LG elections in the 17 LGAs of the State 


According to the notice signed by its chairman, Prof Mkpa Agu Mkpa, purchase of Expression of Interest and Nominations Forms opens on Wednesday, Feb 28, 2023 while campaigns would kick off on Tuesday March 28, and the election would hold on Friday, April 28.



Cost of the forms are N500,000 and N150,000 respectively for chairman and councillor positions
