Chuku Wachuku

The YPP Abia Central Senatorial candidate, Chief Chuku Wachuku on Wednesday promised to fix Ikwuano LGA  whether or not the LG votes for him.

Chief Wachuku, while speaking at the home of the chairman of Ikwuano Council of Village Heads, Chief Gilbert Nwaogu said it is a thing of regret that an Ikwuano son has served at the highest level including serving as National Vice-chairman of a ruling Party, it's National Organising Secretary and as Minister of Defence, and yet was unable to attract any tangible project to the LG.

"You should ask those clamouring to represent you at the Senate what they did for Ikwuano when they were in big national offices.

"Ikwuano occupies a unique position as Abia's food basket and should have benefitted immensely from such agricultural fund's as the CBN's Anchor Borrowers fund which the Federal Government voted N200 billion for last year"

The former Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, NDE further argued that erosion which is threatening every part of Ikwuano should have been a thing of the past as the Ecological fund as at last year had N1 trillion voted for it.

"There is hope in the horizon. You need someone who will speak for you, and I Chuku Wachuku, am capable. I am equal to the task. Give us two years and you will not recognise Ikwuano ", he declared.
