Watching the legislator representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, Rep Sam Onuigbo at work, one remembers the song  of  the Jamaican reggae crooner, Jimmy Cliff.

It goes thus:  Actions speak louder than words/Don't be deceived by all those fancy talkers/Because actions speak louder than words/Cos a man can say (say)/He'll turn your night into day/Cos a man can say(say)/He'll take your sufferings away/And a man can say(say)/He'll role your darkness away/But when it comes to doing (doing)/Showing (showing)/It's gonna take some knowing

From all indications,  Rep Onuigbo is one whose actions speak more eloquently than his words. The lawmaker has just rolled out Phase II of his capacity building and empowerment programme

In a press release, the Media Aide to Rep Onuigbo, Mr Nnaemeka Oruh announced that the Laison Office of the lawmaker has begun accepting applications from those interested in benefitting from the 'Phase Two of Rep. Sam Onuigbo’s training and empowerment programme for  small-holder poultry farmers'

The statement advised interested applicants to call at the lawmaker's constituency office at # 2 Aba Road, opposite  Post Office, Umuahia with a passport photograph, between 10am - 3pm on the day allocated to their specific LGA, to obtain and fill their application forms as follows:

Ikwuano              -          Tuesday April 21, 2021

Umuahia North  -     Wednesday April 22, 2021

Umuahia South  -                Friday April 24,2021

The statement explained that successful applicants will be contacted via SMS with the date and venue for their training and empowerment, while applicants requiring more information were asked    to call 0706 180 8415

DailyLedger.com.ng reports that the lawmaker during  a shuttle tour of the three LGAs that make up the Federal constituency, to commission constituency projects he attracted and completed told those who cared to listen that he is “....a man that makes a promise, fulfills it thereby leaving an indelible mark on the sands of time.

“I am is committed to doing the good work and rendering services to the constituents who willingly voted for me”, he added and went to declare that his constituents would, in spite of all oddities, witness what he described as 'an unprecedented level of human and infrastructural development' before the year 2023 crawls in.
