Efforts by the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, Rep. Sam Onuigbo, to ensure that additional funding is provided for the completion and furnishing of the Oloko Health Centre has yielded fruits, as the completion contract has been awarded by the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs  to Chirpact Integrated Service Ltd.

This was revealed during the site handover event which held at Ahia-Eke Oloko, in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State, on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Recall that block work and roofing of the project, which was attracted by Rep. Onuigbo, had been completed. 

Representative of the Ministry,  Umaru Ibrahim Saraki who handed over the site to Chirpact Integrated Services Limited charged them to ensure that they work peacefully with the locals and also deliver the project within record time and according to the specifications enumerated in the contract. He also urged the community to be cooperative and receptive to the contractors so as to ensure that the project is swiftly executed. 

Chirpact Integrated Ltd who was represented by Peter Otto stated that the project will be completed before the date stated in the contract and promised that as part of their responsibility to the community, some supplies and labour will be sourced from within the community. He pleaded for the community’s support and reception so as to ensure prompt execution of the project. 


The Liaison Officer of Rep. Sam Onuigbo who represented him at the event,  Evangelist Abraham Osondu, assured the good people of Oloko that the Health Centre will be completed according to standard specifications by the contractor and charged them to be accommodating to the contractor. 

Responding, Elder Chizuo Okeiyi, Chairman of the Community Development Associatiob of Oloko, who received the contractor and the delegation from the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and Rep. Onuigbo, expressed his appreciation to the lawmaker for his kind gesture and assured the contractor of the support and cooperation of the community. He reiterated the need for proper security for the hospital especially as it concerns fencing it. 

The village head in his words of appreciation thanked the team and asked them to convey his words of appreciation on behalf of Oloko clan to Rep. Sam Onuigbo. 

Highlight of the occasion was the handover of contract documents and the site to the contractor.
