Nigeria off to CHAN unbeaten after Cote d'Ivoire win
Nigeria will be at this year’s CHAN with an unbeaten record after they defeated  Cote d’Ivoire 1-0 in a final warm-up match before their departure to Rwanda.
And El Kanemi Warriors midfielder Ifeanyi Matthew underlined  his class with the match winner in the 45th minute courtesy of a neat finish.

Last year, the Nigeria ‘B’ team beat Burkina Faso 2-0, before they held their West African rivals to a goalless draw in Ouagadougou to qualify for their second CHAN.

Last week they were held to a 1-1 draw by another CHAN-bound team, Angola, before they defeated Cote d’Ivoire on Monday evening in Pretoria to fly out to Kigali on Friday without losing a game.

Exactly a week today, they will open their 2016 CHAN campaign against Niger in Kigali.

They will also battle Tunisia and Guinea in the group phase of the competition, which kicks off on Saturday.
